School Age Program
Cradle to Crayons offers after school care for children ages 5 years to 12 years. The center is a designated stop for the USD 423 school bus. The bus will pick up and drop children off right outside our front door. When the children arrive after school, we provide them with a nutritious afternoon snack. Snack time is a laid back atmosphere where the children can communicate openly about their day at school. After snack, it is time for homework. Multiple teachers are available to help the children with their homework. By finishing homework here at the center, families can enjoy their evenings together without rushing to get homework done. After homework is done, we do a project and/or go outside (weather permitting) to play.
Don't stress about spring break, Christmas break, snow days or even summer break, just bring them to Cradle To Crayons for a fun filled day. During the summer, we are active members of the summer library program, take the school kids swimming one to two times a week, and do age appropriate projects. Also during the summer each week has its own theme, and projects and experiments will be done to accompany the theme. We offer an annual Art Camp week, open to all school age children in the community. Children do not have to be enrolled full time at the center to enjoy Art Camp, a child can just attend for that week.
